Positions in the lab

As positions in the lab become available, they are posted promptly on this page. There are no paid or volunteer positions available aside from the ones indicated below. Due to a high volume of e-mails, inquiries about unannounced positions may go unanswered. Thanks for understanding.

Undergraduate research assistantships:
While we don’t currently have any openings (volunteer/course credit/work-study), UC Berkeley undergraduates are welcome to contact graduate students whose work interests them. Grad students in our lab select their own r.a.’s, so there is no need to e-mail Professor Bunge with inquiries. We give priority to UC Berkeley students and to students applying through diversity programs.

 Full-time research positions:
Thanks to everyone who applied for our lab manager position! There were many qualified applicants, including one who was a perfect fit, and our search has culminated in a successful hire. Applicants: best of luck in your search for the right position.

Graduate applicants:
We do not plan to recruit a new graduate student for the foreseeable future. We would accept interested rotation students from the Neuroscience program in 2012 or 2013, but please note that Professor Bunge is not a member of the Neuroscience Graduate Admissions Committee. As such, it is not necessary to e-mail her in advance of being invited for an on-campus interview.

Postdoctoral fellows:
Professor Bunge welcomes e-mails from qualified Ph.D. candidates and recent Ph.D.s who are in a position to apply for external postdoctoral fellowships to join the lab in analyzing and writing up the results of our large-scale and multi-faceted longitudinal study of reasoning development.
